I am honored and excited to serve as the seventh president of James Sprunt Community College (JSCC). From my very first campus visit, I felt the positive energy and genuine sense of community that makes JSCC such a special community college. I knew immediately I wanted to lead this institution.
My leadership is grounded in collaboration, transparency and shared purpose. Together with our students, faculty, staff, Board of Trustees and community partners, we will continue moving JSCC forward in a strategic, data-driven direction. Our work will align with the college’s Strategic Plan: Bridging Pathways, Building Futures, while promoting higher education attainment and workforce and economic prosperity across the college’s service region.
As a first-generation community college graduate, I know from personal experience the transformative power of a community college education. A community college changed my life and started me on my current path. I am deeply committed to ensuring that same opportunity is available to every current and future JSCC student.
Now that I call Duplin County my home, you will see me out and about in the county visiting with business and industry leaders, attending events and promoting all JSCC has to offer. As I listen and learn more about our community’s needs, I will work with the JSCC Board of Trustees and JSCC administration to ensure we are responsive to our stakeholders. Working alongside our campus family and community partners, we will build the next chapter of James Sprunt Community College together.
Go Spartans!
